Position Summary

The Team Member is responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing drinks and food, operating the POS system, maintaining a clean café, and supporting daily opening and closing operations.

Because the Cafe operates with a small, efficient team, employees will be cross-trained and expected to help wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & POS

● Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.

● Take customer orders accurately using the POS system.

● Answer basic questions about drinks, food, ingredients, and menu options.

● Process cash, credit card, and digital payments.

● Prepare and organize orders for customer pickup.

● Provide friendly and efficient service, especially during busy periods.

Drink Preparation

● Prepare milk tea, fruit tea, fresh fruit drinks, shakes, matcha, coffee, espresso drinks,

and other specialty beverages.

● Follow Cafe recipes, measurements, and preparation standards.

● Cook and portion boba/pearls and prepare toppings as required.

● Prepare tea, coffee, syrups, fruit, and other ingredients for daily service.

● Maintain consistent drink quality, appearance, and portion sizes.

● Monitor ingredient levels and restock the drink station throughout the shift.

Bakery, Cakes & Food

● Display and serve cakes, pastries, breads, and bakery products.

● Portion, package, warm, or plate products according to café standards.

● Prepare and serve dim sum and other light food items using approved procedures.

● Follow proper food handling, temperature, storage, and labeling procedures.

● Monitor product freshness and notify management of low inventory or quality concerns.

Cleaning & Café Operations

● Keep counters, drink stations, food preparation areas, equipment, tables, and customer areas clean.

● Wash and sanitize utensils, containers, equipment, and dishes.

● Restock cups, lids, straws, napkins, ingredients, and supplies.

● Assist with opening and closing procedures.

● Take out trash and maintain clean work and storage areas.

● Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements

Physical Requirements

● Ability to stand and move for extended periods.

● Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive food and beverage preparation tasks.

● Ability to safely lift and carry supplies and café inventory as required.

Availability

Applicants should have flexible availability. Morning, afternoon, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be available depending on café operating hours.
