What’s the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on HR Generalist who thrives in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment and genuinely enjoys being close to the action. In this role, you’ll be a visible, trusted partner to both employees and operations leaders—supporting employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, leave administration, and day-to-day HR across all shifts and departments. The ideal candidate is approachable, detail-oriented, bilingual in English and Spanish, and passionate about building a positive workplace culture while driving operational excellence.
As part of a 7-day-a-week operation, this role requires flexibility. While core hours are during the business week, candidates should be prepared to respond to urgent employee matters or HR emergencies outside of regular business hours, including weekends when needed.
This isn’t a desk-only role. You’ll split your time between the office and the production floor—getting to know employees where they work, supporting frontline leaders in real time, and being a visible HR presence across both environments.
What You’ll Own
• Serve as a trusted HR partner to managers and employees, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.
• Support high-volume hourly recruiting, including interviewing, hiring coordination, onboarding, and offboarding, while partnering with operations on workforce planning and retention.
• Administer leave programs (FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation) and support attendance tracking and compliance with employment laws and company policy.
• Maintain accurate employee records in Paylocity and support benefits administration and employee inquiries.
• Coordinate employee engagement initiatives—recognition programs, wellness events, surveys—and manage communication through platforms such as Appspace or similar tools.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts across HR processes, collaborating cross-functionally to enhance engagement, retention, and operational effectiveness.
What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, with 2–3 years of HR experience—preferably in manufacturing, industrial, or food production.
• Demonstrated experience managing employee relations matters, workplace investigations, and leave of absence programs (FMLA, ADA, FLSA).
• Experience with HRIS systems such as Paylocity; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; comfortable working independently across multiple shifts and departments.
• Experience in food manufacturing and supporting a large hourly workforce is a strong plus.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
