Position Overview: The Warehouse Associate / Driver is responsible for managing inventory, fulfilling orders, maintaining warehouse equipment, and ensuring a safe and organized working environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management:
  1. Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming shipments of irrigation products and supplies.
  2. Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate stock for service technicians and customer orders.
  3. Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
• Order Fulfillment:
  1. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery or customer pickup according to company procedures and customer requirements.
  2. Ensure orders are accurately picked and packed to minimize errors.
• Receiving:
  1. Coordinate with technicians and vendors to schedule pickups or deliveries as needed.
• Equipment Maintenance:
  1. Maintain warehouse equipment and tools in good working condition.
  2. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to management promptly.
  3. Performed basic mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on equipment, tools, and company vehicles to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
• Safety and Organization:
  1. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  2. Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Team Collaboration:
  1. Work collaboratively with other warehouse associates, technicians, and administrative staff to fulfill orders and support operational needs.
  2. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding inventory status, issues, and recommendations for improvement.
• Customer Service:
  1. Assist service technicians with product inquiries, order status updates, and availability of items in the warehouse.
  2. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  1. Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, shipping/receiving activities, and warehouse operations.
  2. Generate reports as needed to track inventory levels, order fulfillment metrics, and warehouse performance.
• Professionalism and Conduct:
  1. Represent Sunrise Irrigation professionally in all interactions with customers, suppliers, and team members.
  2. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all aspects of your role.
• Continuous Improvement:
  1. Identify opportunities for process improvements in warehouse operations to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  2. Actively participate in training programs and workshops to enhance your knowledge and skills related to warehouse operations.
• Driving and Licensing Requirements:
  1. Maintain a valid driver's license to operate a company vehicle.
  2. Ensure the company vehicle is maintained in good condition and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Adaptability:
  1. Adapt to a flexible work schedule, including overtime as needed.
• Physical Requirements:
  1. Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme weather conditions.
  2. Physical demands of the job include standing, bending, lifting up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a warehouse or similar role.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting and working in various weather conditions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Authorized to legally work in the U.S.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation.
