WRA is seeking a Project Manager to join our Building Design Group in our Baltimore, MD office. Come join our collaborative team of engineers and architects on a variety of challenging projects, including high-performance buildings, industrial and manufacturing facilities, office environments, mission critical/secure spaces, historic preservation, and higher education. WRA has a strong mentoring culture and a focus on staff development.
Lead multidiscipline A/E teams through concept studies, final design, and construction phase services for clients across a broad range of markets, including DoD, Federal/Local Government and Industrial. Coordinate between disciplines, interface with project stakeholders, and manage quality control processes to ensure each project is successfully completed.
Responsibilities:
- Manage architectural projects through all phases of planning, design, documentation, bidding, and construction administration.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients, consultants, contractors, and project team members.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, work plans, and staffing plans.
- Lead project meetings and coordinate activities among architects, engineers, planners, and specialty consultants.
- Monitor project performance to ensure quality, profitability, and adherence to client expectations.
- Review design and construction documents for technical accuracy, code compliance, and quality standards.
- Support contract negotiations, scope development, and proposal preparation.
- Assist in identifying and managing project risks and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Mentor junior architectural staff and provide technical guidance as needed.
- Participate in client presentations, stakeholder meetings, and project reviews.
- Support business development activities and maintain strong client relationships.
Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 16 years of architectural experience, including project management responsibilities.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects through all phases of design and construction.
- Strong understanding of building codes, permitting processes, and construction practices.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and architectural design software.
Preferred:
- Professional License (PE, AIA, or RA) preferred
- DoD security clearance or ability to obtain clearance preferred.

The expected compensation range for this position is $175,000.00 - $210,000.00, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
