This role sits at the core of a rapidly scaling data organization, where you will shape the architecture, reliability, and evolution of modern data systems that power analytics, product insights, and business-critical decisions. You will act as a senior technical authority, designing and optimizing data models, pipelines, and infrastructure that unify complex datasets into actionable intelligence. The role blends hands-on engineering with architectural leadership, requiring deep expertise across data engineering, backend systems, and cloud platforms. You will collaborate closely with software engineers, product teams, and analytics stakeholders to ensure data is not only accurate and scalable, but also strategically valuable. This is a high-impact position where your work directly influences decision-making across the organization and its customers. You will also play a key role in shaping data governance, ensuring consistency, quality, and secure access as the data ecosystem expands. - Data Architecture & Pipeline Engineering
Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and advanced data models in SQL. Build robust data infrastructure that consolidates multiple data sources into reliable systems for analytics, reporting, and product intelligence. - Technical Leadership & System Design
Act as a senior technical expert within the data team, guiding architectural decisions, reviewing code, and ensuring best practices in scalability, performance, and maintainability. Partner with engineering teams to align data systems with broader software architecture. - Backend & Platform Development
Develop and maintain backend services using Python, including RESTful and GraphQL APIs. Build scalable data services and contribute to production-grade applications that support analytics and internal tools. - Data Governance & Quality Assurance
Establish and enforce standards for data quality, access control, documentation, and governance. Ensure consistency across data models, maintain data dictionaries, and support secure and compliant data usage. - Analytics Enablement & Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with product, engineering, and business teams to translate raw data into actionable insights. Support BI tools and dashboards while enabling teams to make data-driven decisions effectively. - Innovation & Tooling Evolution
Evaluate and introduce modern technologies, including cloud data warehouses and AI-assisted development tools, to improve data infrastructure, productivity, and system performance.
- 7–11 years of experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT pipeline development, or backend/data platform engineering roles.
- Strong expertise in relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), SQL modeling, and database design principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, with experience building production-grade data systems and backend services.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, and familiarity with data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
- Experience with BI and data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data governance, and large-scale analytics systems.
- Experience building scalable APIs (REST and GraphQL) and backend services using modern frameworks.
- Familiarity with modern frontend technologies such as ReactJS and TypeScript is a strong plus.
- Exposure to AI-assisted development workflows, including RAG, tool-calling agents, or similar architectures is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights.
