Job Description

Position Title: Manager - Accounting (Onsite - Malvern Corporate Office)


Position Overview

This position will be a key member of the Finance Group and will report directly to the Chief Accounting Officer & Controller. This position will be primarily responsible for overseeing the payroll and commissions process and assisting with ensuring the monthly financial and management reporting and the day-to-day operational finance/accounting functions of the Company are timely, comprehensive and accurate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the payroll cycle through ADP;
  • Manage the Company’s commission accounting and Avalara sales tax;
  • Assist in implementing, monitoring and maintaining strong system of financial controls to safeguard financial assets such as internal controls and accounting policies and procedures;
  • Assist with external reporting;
  • Work through all insurance renewals with management and brokers;
  • Review activities and transactions of the Company to complete analysis of business trends and support management financial needs as requested;
  • Work to ensure that the ERP system is working seamlessly and that ancillary/add-on software is easily integrated and functioning properly;
  • Manage the employee stock option programs via E-Trade including administration, monthly expense calculations and reporting;
  • Work with outside auditors and consultants to ensure quarterly reviews and year end audits are completed.
  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements that increase profitability, increase information flow or reduce resource consumption.


    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 8+ years’ experience in entrepreneurial, medical device/life science organizations
  • Experience implementing and managing Cost Accounting processes and reporting
  • ADP experience preferred.
  • Sage ERP X3 experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and to function in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with ever changing priorities and demands for time;
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload, to meet deadlines and to maintain a high level of quality and accuracy;
  • Proactive nature to anticipate accounting and finance needs of the business;
  • Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to manage and develop direct reports within the group.
  • Solid understanding of financial processes and systems; adept at implementing initiatives to improve efficiency.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and integrating ERP systems as well as ancillary reporting and other software products (Concur, Avalara, ETrade)
  • Educational Requirements:

  • BS in Accounting
  • CPA preferred

  • Ability to carry and lift product inventory of up to 10 lbs.

    This position works in a corporate office or a home office. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate.


    Primary Location and Travel

    We anticipate that on an ongoing basis this role will be based in the Corporate Office. Minimal travel is expected for this position.
