This is a high-impact senior individual contributor role focused on shaping and scaling next-generation mobile experiences across critical lending product surfaces. You will lead Android migration efforts while helping define the long-term mobile architecture across native and cross-platform environments. The role sits at the intersection of engineering excellence and product innovation, with direct influence on roadmap execution and user experience for large-scale consumer financial products. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering leaders to deliver high-visibility initiatives on an ambitious timeline. Accountabilities:

  • Define and drive mobile architecture decisions across native Android and React Native ecosystems, ensuring long-term technical sustainability.
  • Translate product and business priorities into clear technical milestones and execution plans aligned with aggressive release timelines.
  • Partner cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering stakeholders to deliver cohesive, user-centric mobile solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership through design reviews, architecture discussions, and mentorship of engineers across teams.
  • Support ongoing mobile platform evolution post-launch, contributing expertise across Android and React Native codebases.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, with deep expertise in building and shipping native Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale mobile initiatives, platform migrations, or mobile product launches in production environments.
  • Strong track record of delivering consumer-facing mobile applications with high standards for performance, reliability, and UX.
  • Working knowledge of React Native and TypeScript, with the ability to operate effectively across hybrid mobile stacks.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership as a senior or principal-level individual contributor, including architecture ownership and cross-team influence.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to drive alignment across engineering, product, and design stakeholders in ambiguous environments.
  • Preferred: experience in fintech or complex consumer applications, plus exposure to iOS or broader cross-platform mobile development.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package including base salary, performance bonuses, and annual equity grants
  • Salary range (USD): $195,300 – $270,400 (US remote) / $182,800 – $230,000 (Canada remote)
  • Retirement savings plans with company matching contributions
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan with discounted equity purchase options (where applicable)
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage including medical, dental, vision, and wellness support
  • Health Savings Account contributions for eligible plans (US-based roles)
  • Life insurance, disability coverage, and income protection benefits
  • Paid time off, sick leave, and company holidays aligned with local standards
  • Paid parental and family leave programs supporting caregiving needs
  • Annual wellness allowance and productivity stipend for tools and personal development
  • Mental health and employee assistance resources for holistic well-being
  • Financial planning tools and support resources (US-based roles)
  • Hybrid and remote flexibility with periodic in-person collaboration sessions
  • Team events, employee resource groups, and strong culture of connection
