SVP, Spend Management Account Management

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SVP, Spend Management Account Management based in the United States.

This executive leadership role is responsible for defining and driving the enterprise-wide strategy for account management across a large, complex healthcare-focused organization.
You will oversee a national, multi-regional team responsible for client engagement, retention, and expansion across spend management solutions.
The role plays a critical part in shaping enterprise growth, ensuring consistent delivery of measurable financial, clinical, and operational value to strategic clients.
You will lead and develop senior regional leaders, building a scalable operating model that supports high performance and accountability.
The position requires strong executive presence and deep expertise in healthcare supply chain and spend optimization.
You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to align services, analytics, and product innovation with evolving client needs.
This is a highly strategic role with direct impact on enterprise revenue, client outcomes, and long-term market leadership.

Accountabilities:

Lead the enterprise account management organization and define strategies that drive growth, retention, and client value across all regions:

  • Develop and execute enterprise-wide account management strategies aligned with organizational growth and market leadership objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop VP-level regional leaders, ensuring consistent performance, execution, and accountability across geographies.
  • Establish scalable operating models, governance frameworks, and performance standards for account management teams.
  • Own enterprise revenue growth, retention, margin performance, and overall client penetration across the portfolio.
  • Drive financial planning, forecasting, and disciplined business execution across all regions.
  • Serve as executive sponsor for key strategic clients, engaging C-suite stakeholders and supporting complex negotiations.
  • Partner with product, analytics, and sourcing teams to align solutions with client needs and market opportunities.
  • Ensure consistent measurement and communication of value delivered through data-driven insights and performance metrics.
  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement in how spend management value is defined and delivered.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a seasoned enterprise leader with deep healthcare supply chain expertise and proven experience managing large-scale, multi-layered organizations:

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare supply chain, spend management, or related fields.
  • Proven experience leading senior leaders (VP level and above) in a matrixed, multi-regional organization.
  • Strong track record of enterprise P&L ownership, revenue growth, and client retention at scale.
  • Deep expertise in healthcare supply chain operations and spend optimization strategies.
  • Demonstrated success engaging and influencing C-suite executives in complex healthcare environments.
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to balance enterprise vision with operational execution.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and talent development capabilities.
  • Advanced financial acumen and experience driving data-informed decision-making.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required to support clients and business needs.
