- Identify systemic patterns across disputes and translate insights into proactive risk reduction strategies and policy improvements.
- Support discovery processes, including coordination of internal document collection and external e-discovery vendors.
- Contribute to broader legal initiatives involving commercial disputes and customer/vendor contractual issues.
- Act as a trusted legal advisor to leadership, delivering concise updates on high-risk or high-impact matters.
- J.D. and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
- Significant litigation experience handling complex commercial, regulatory, employment, or data-related disputes.
- Prior experience as lead or co-lead counsel, ideally including in-house litigation experience.
- Proven ability to manage outside counsel, including strategy direction, budget oversight, and performance management.
- Strong understanding of data privacy and regulatory frameworks (e.g., CCPA, GDPR or similar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex legal issues for non-legal stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with experience managing multiple active matters simultaneously.
- Ability to build legal infrastructure and improve processes in fast-paced or scaling environments.
- Business-oriented mindset with strong judgment in risk assessment and decision-making.
