POSITION SUMMARY:

The Plant Technician will perform maintenance and repairs as scheduled or required in order to attain maximum productivity and functionality in plant operations.  The employee in this role must have strong communication, observational, and operational skills with an unbending focus on safety.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibly follow all procedures & policies about repairs & maintenance.

Responsible to complete assigned tasks and projects in a highly effective, efficient, and safe manner.

Supports high performance in a professional hospitality laundry environment through communication, cleanliness, and consistency.

Works in conjunction with operations to keep equipment operating at a high level of efficiency.

Ability to trouble shoot any mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems

Projects and tasks may include, but are not limited to:

Industrial equipment repair and/or maintenance

Construction type tasks (painting, patching holes, etc.)

Electrical

Plumbing

Electronics

QUALIFICATIONS AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
(List the minimum education and/or experience necessary to fulfill this position.)

High school diploma plus 2 years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational certification

5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician in maintenance discipline

Mechanic experience in similar industry preferred.

Computer literate

Computer / Technical Skills / Job Specific Skills:

Able to read blueprints and electrical/electronic schematics.

Excellent mechanical aptitude with the ability to keep laundry equipment running at optimal level.
