Rimrock has Volunteer Opportunities Available! We are seeking caring, reliable volunteers to support our clients and team.

Flexible hours are available—pick up shifts that fit your schedule!

As a volunteer, you would be serving the community while supporting Rimrock's mission, which is to create opportunity for those impacted by the chaos of addiction and mental illness through innovative, compassionate, and life-changing care.

Tasks May Include:

  • Accompanying clients on recreational activities; may include physical activity, 12 step meetings, church services, bible study, etc.
  • Having supportive, engaging and inspiring conversations with clients
  • Being a speaker on a pre-approved topic
  • Grocery shopping and/or meal preparation
  • Cleaning duties
  • Educating others on a specific area of interest – yoga, budgeting, CPR, childcare, etc
  • Making outbound calls to regional referral sources
  • Preparing informational packets for Family Week and contacting family members to discuss Family Week activities and expectations
  • Sharing, instructing and participating in a variety of art projects
  • Working at a snack/coffee cart
  • Administrative tasks; may include scanning, printing, preparing invoices
  • Sharing your musical talents – playing guitar, piano, etc.
  • Painting
  • Yardwork and gardening

EDUCATION/TRAINING: No specific required training or education is required--depending on the nature of the service(s) provided throughout the organization.

SKILLS: Skill requirements will be subject to the nature of how you intend to volunteer. Some examples may be: Public speaking, planning; computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft software including Word, Excel and Outlook. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organized, good interpersonal skills and must have a keen focus on customer service.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is typically indoors in an office environment with moderate noise. Outdoors may be required depending on the nature of the volunteer service and the time of year. Intermittent physical effort involving lifting up to 25 pounds. Walking and stooping is required. A typical day may involve long periods of sitting, frequent use of a keyboard, reaching with hands and arms, and talking and hearing, approximately 70% of the time. Approximately 50% or less of the time is spent standing. Normal vision abilities required, including close vision and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/JOB LOCATIONS: Involves everyday risk or discomfort requiring normal safety precautions in an office setting, meeting room and patient care areas. Generally, requires concentration and attention to detail. Work may be performed at the main facility or within the community.
