Job Description
Corporate Cleaning Group is now hiring an equipment maintenance/repair technician to repair vacuums and carpet extractors at our corporate office in Livonia.
Shift: part-time flexible during business hours of Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Pay: $20 an hour
Great opportunity for a retiree or someone just wanting some supplemental income.
What you will be doing:
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on upright, canister and other commercial vacuums.
- Perform repairs and maintenance, including motor replacement, belt and brush roll service, hose and wand repair, electrical wiring fixes, and suction troubleshooting.
- Order, stock, and install replacement parts; maintain accurate parts inventory and repair records.
- Test repaired units to ensure safety and performance standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow company safety and quality procedures.
- Conducts troubleshooting, and repairs on floor cleaning equipment including vacuums, carpet extractors, and floor scrubbers.
- Read equipment manuals and determine parts needed for repair.

Requirements:Qualifications:
- Basic electrical knowledge (AC motors, wiring, switches, fuses) and mechanical aptitude.
- Comfort with diagnostic tools (multimeter, amp clamp, basic hand tools)
- Strong problem-solving skills and technical knowledge.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- Knowledge of safety standards
- Valid driver's license for on-site service visits when requried
- Prior experience in equipment repair within the cleaning or maintenance industry is a plus.
