Valtir is hiring a Career Equipment Operator to support our Orangeburg, South Carolina manufacturing facility.

Our core roadway product lines include guardrails, end terminals, steel barriers, crash cushions and sign supports. Valtir is dedicated to bringing the next generation of innovative safety products to an ever-changing market.

As an Equipment Operator at Valtir, you’ll set up and operate machines and may utilize blueprints, make adjustments for materials used, verify dimensional requirements, and transfer materials to storage areas.

Location: Orangeburg, South Carolina

Starting rate $19 per hour

Full-time: M-F, 5am-1:30pm

What you’ll do:

Set up and operate production machines to cut, bend, straighten, or form parts as specified by blueprintsLay-up sequence and/or templatesRead blueprints, adjust for thickness, and shape of materials and make appropriate settingsLoad material for processing, verify dimensional requirementsUnload and may transfer materials to storage areasMay use overhead cranes or forkliftFollow all safety rules and practicesMay be involved in safety committees or initiativesPerforms other duties as assigned

What you’ll need:

Minimum of 1 year of experienceAbility to read blueprintsAbility to operate three of the following equipment types: press break, shear, punch press, saw drill press or rollerAbility to understand the technical aspects of the jobAbility to follow verbal or simple written instructions and proceduresAbility to measure accuratelyAbility to safely and efficiently perform all essential functionsAbility to follow directions and maintain a professional work environmentGood communication skills and the ability to work within a teamwork environmentRegular and predictable attendance
