Responsibilities:

1. Models a service attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better, is friendly and courteous to residents, patients and co-workers
2. Set up dish machine
3. Transport food carts to and from resident units
4. Deliver special request items to units as needed (i.e. missed trays, puree vs. regular tray, different food preparations)
5. Break down dishes from food carts if assigned
6. Rinse, pre-wash, rack and send dishes through dish machine if assigned
7. Pull dishes in dish room and put dishes in designed areas if assigned
8. Take out trash
9. Sweep and mop floors in kitchen and dish room areas and back door area
10. Complete daily cleaning assignments as assigned by supervisor
11. Assist with tray line as needed or assigned
12. Assist with serving food in dining room to residents as needed or assigned
13. Keep up temperature record for dish machine
14. Keep records updated on all kitchen cleaning buckets
15. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or GED is required
2. Have six months experience in dish room or sanitation work environment
3. Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English
4. Genuine caring for and interest in the care of mature adults, special needs and hospice patients
