Overview

SecurNation is seeking Experienced Event Staff to support one of Downtown Atlanta's largest annual events during Labor Day Weekend.

As an Event Staff team member, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming, and organized experience for thousands of guests, exhibitors, vendors, performers, and event personnel. This position requires individuals who are professional, dependable, and comfortable working in fast-paced, high-energy environments with large crowds.

Successful candidates will provide exceptional customer service while supporting event operations, assisting with crowd management, access control, guest assistance, and maintaining a visible presence throughout assigned event venues.

This is a temporary event assignment with opportunities for future event assignments and potential full-time or Flex Officer positions with SecurNation based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities

As an Event Staff team member, you will help create a safe, organized, and enjoyable experience for guests while supporting the successful operation of large-scale events.

Responsibilities include:

• Welcome and assist guests, exhibitors, vendors, performers, and event staff with professionalism and exceptional customer service.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout assigned event venues and public areas.
• Assist with guest entry, credential verification, and access control procedures.
• Support crowd management and help maintain safe pedestrian traffic flow.
• Provide directions, answer questions, and assist guests with locating event spaces and amenities.
• Monitor assigned areas and promptly report safety concerns, suspicious activity, hazards, or incidents to supervisors.
• Respond calmly and professionally to guest concerns and assist with conflict de-escalation when appropriate.
• Assist with line management during peak entry and exit times.
• Support event operations by following assigned post orders and supervisor instructions.
• Work collaboratively with event leadership, fellow team members, emergency responders, and law enforcement when necessary.
• Complete incident reports and activity logs as required.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude throughout each shift.
• Follow all client policies, safety procedures, and SecurNation operational standards.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience working as Event Staff or in a customer-facing role at concerts, conventions, festivals, sporting events, trade shows, or other large public gatherings
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with guests, vendors, and event staff
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented in fast-paced, high-volume environments
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening
• Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working large-scale conventions, festivals, concerts, or sporting events
• Experience with guest services, crowd management, line management, or access control
• CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification
• Military, law enforcement, corrections, hospitality, or customer service experience
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to work comfortably in crowded, high-energy environments
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds when necessary
• Ability to maintain awareness and respond appropriately in a dynamic event environment
