Electrician in Von Ormy, Texas at Tomball Controls

The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for performing skilled electrical installation and assembly work in support of production operations. This position installs Mini Power Zones, downstream receptacles, switches, controls, conduit, and related electrical components in accordance with build sheets, electrical specifications, and applicable standards. The Journeyman Electrician must be able to work independently, accurately terminate wiring, install buss bars and electrical fittings, and troubleshoot issues as needed. This role requires strong technical and mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to safely and efficiently perform work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Installation of Mini Power Zone and wiring of all downstream receptacles, switches and controls.
• ­Ability to read build sheets.
• Ability to install buss bars and terminate wires.
• ­Installation of strut, EMT, connectors and fittings.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience in commercial electrical field, required.
• Holds a valid current Journeyman License
• ­Mechanical ability to assemble technical products to a build sheet.
• ­Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• ­Ability to function well in a fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment.
• ­Familiarity with electrical parts and fittings, required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ­Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Bluebeam & Procore Software a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• ­Prolonged periods of standing and walking through production facilities.
• ­Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
• ­Regularly required to be exposed to outdoor elements.
• Non-climate-controlled environment
