As a Wireless Installation Technician, you will install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot fixed wireless internet, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and related network equipment for residential and commercial customers. You will perform site surveys, mount and align radios, route and terminate cabling, verify service quality, document completed work, and support field service throughout the assigned Nevada service area.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform site surveys to evaluate line of sight, signal conditions, mounting locations, cable routes, power availability, and installation feasibility.
  • Mount and align radios and antennas; install routers, access points, switches, grounding components, and related equipment.
  • Route, terminate, label, test, and protect Ethernet and low-voltage cabling in accordance with company standards.
  • Diagnose wireless signal, Wi-Fi, cabling, power, customer-equipment, and network issues using field test and service-quality data.
  • Perform equipment upgrades, replacements, relocations, preventive maintenance, and service restorations; assist with infrastructure work when trained and authorized.
  • Follow ladder, fall-protection, aerial-lift, electrical-awareness, grounding, traffic-control, vehicle, and PPE requirements; stop work when conditions are unsafe or outside training.
  • Maintain accurate job notes, photographs, equipment records, test results, time entries, and material usage; communicate clearly with customers and internal teams and participate in assigned on-call, after-hours, travel, and emergency-response coverage.

What You Will Bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and driving record acceptable under company vehicle policy required.
  • Mechanical ability, technical aptitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn broadband and networking technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of IP networking, routers, Wi-Fi, Ethernet cabling, and troubleshooting concepts, or ability to become proficient through training.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, cable testers, alignment tools, mobile applications, and assigned test equipment.
  • Strong customer-service, verbal communication, time-management, documentation, and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and follow written procedures.
  • Ability to complete company-required bucket-truck, aerial-lift, fall-protection, ladder, vehicle, CPR/first-aid, and other assigned safety training.
  • Previous fixed wireless, telecommunications, cable, satellite, low-voltage, electrical, construction, or field-service experience preferred; experience with Tarana, Ubiquiti, Mimosa, Cambium, RADWIN, MikroTik, Calix, or similar broadband equipment is preferred.

What You Will Experience:

Work is generally performed at customer homes and businesses, company facilities, rooftops, rural properties, infrastructure sites, and outdoor worksites in changing weather. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, crouch, kneel, pull cable, drill, and use hand or power tools for extended periods.
  • Work from ladders, rooftops, approved aerial-lift equipment, attics, crawlspaces, utility areas, and other hot, dusty, confined, or difficult-to-access spaces while using required fall protection and PPE.
  • Frequently lift and carry tools, ladders, cable, and equipment; occasionally lift, carry, push, or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Regularly drive company vehicles and safely load and unload equipment; vision, color recognition, depth perception, hearing, balance, and fine-motor coordination must support safe field work and communication.
