Supervisor Medical Imaging CT in Phoenix, Arizona at Valleywise Health System

Under the direction of the Manager of Medical Imaging, the Medical Imaging Supervisor of Computerized Tomography (CT) will be expected to provide the highest quality CT imaging care to your patients and referring services. This position will mentor the technical and support staff assigned to the CT departments. Assists medical imaging management in the daily operations of the departments by working closely with patients, medical staff and other internal team, and performs patient care. Valleywise Health Medical Center is a Level One Trauma Center just 2.5 years old.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• Requires Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work. Prefer a Bachelor’s degree.

Experience:

• Must have a minimum of three (3) years of technical medical imaging experience in Hospital CT that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Prefer prior direct or indirect supervisory experience.

Specialized Training:

Proficient in computer systems, knowledge of medical imaging information systems including PACS. Radiation Safety Training will be required within three (3) months of hire into position. Renew Image Gently/Image Wisely certification training annually.

.Certification/Licensure:

• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R)(CT).
• Licensed by the Arizona Department Health Services in Radiography (CRT) and Computed Tomography (CTCT) is required.
• Requires BLS through an approved American Heart Association (AHA). A BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center is preferred and will be required within 3 months.
• Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety OR submit a completed Affidavit at time of hire. Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date. Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for fingerprint clearance card.

Salary Range: Hourly rate: $48.62 - $71.71
