The Marketing & Communications Specialist will play a critical role in developing and implementing a strategic marketing and communications plan that supports NeighborWorks Green Bay’s mission, programs, and fundraising efforts. This position also will collaborate with and support the Door County Housing Partnership, Green Bay Housing Partnership, and other subsidiaries, as needed. This individual will oversee all aspects of marketing, public relations, social media, and branding to enhance visibility, build community awareness, and attract a wide range of stakeholders, including residents, donors, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to increase NeighborWorks Green Bay’s visibility and engagement with key audiences. This includes managing campaigns, digital marketing, advertising, and brand positioning.
- Communications: Oversee all external communications, including press releases, newsletters, email campaigns, and promotional materials. Ensure consistent messaging and alignment with organizational goals.
- Digital & Social Media: Manage and grow NeighborWorks Green Bay’s presence across digital platforms, including social media, website content and design, and email marketing. Develop strategies for audience engagement and increased followers.
- Content Creation: Create compelling content that tells the story of NeighborWorks Green Bay’s impact, including success stories, community events, donor highlights, and partner features.
- Public Relations: Build and maintain relationships with local media, coordinate press coverage, and pitch stories that highlight the organization’s work and successes.
- Event Promotion: Collaborate with internal teams to promote NeighborWorks Green Bay’s events and fundraising initiatives, including the Annual Celebration and other key community events.
- Brand Management: Ensure consistent branding across all communication channels and materials, maintaining NeighborWorks Green Bay’s brand identity and messaging.
- Community Engagement: Develop and manage outreach efforts to engage with diverse community groups and partners, fostering collaboration and awareness of NeighborWorks Green Bay’s mission.
- Reporting & Analytics: Track and analyze the effectiveness of marketing efforts, providing regular reports on engagement metrics, audience reach, and campaign performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven environment.
- Proven experience developing and executing successful marketing campaigns and communication strategies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in social media platforms, website management, and email marketing tools.
- Knowledge of graphic design, video production, or photography is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
Physical Requirements – Must be able to perform the following activities:
- Lifting up to 10-20 pounds.
- Carrying up to 10-20 pounds
- Ability to focus for long period of time on projects.
- Ability to reach, stoop and lift.
