We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to serve as a key connector between Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations. In this role, you will drive efficiency by ensuring maintenance work is thoroughly planned, properly resourced, and strategically scheduled to reduce downtime and maximize productivity.
This is a highly collaborative position where your ability to organize, analyze, and communicate will directly impact operational performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance schedules
- Create detailed job plans including work instructions, safety requirements, labor estimates, and parts lists
- Coordinate maintenance activities across teams to minimize production interruptions
- Prepare and release work orders, ensuring all materials, tools, and resources are ready
- Build and maintain daily and weekly maintenance schedules aligned with production priorities
- Track and update maintenance activities within the CMMS system
- Analyze equipment performance and maintenance data to improve reliability and reduce downtime
- Partner with maintenance teams to prioritize work based on safety and operational needs
- Support budgeting, labor forecasting, and spare parts inventory management
- Monitor KPIs such as PM compliance, backlog hours, and schedule attainment
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and process optimization
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2–5+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or industrial environments
Preferred:
- Experience as a maintenance technician or skilled tradesperson
- Certification such as CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional)
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, production equipment)
- Experience using CMMS systems and maintenance data analysis tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills with ability to improve maintenance strategies and reduce downtime
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
