This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Engineering Manager, Convert ROI in Australia.

This role is a high-impact leadership opportunity within a fast-paced, product-driven environment focused on analytics, experimentation, and conversion optimization. You will lead a team building scalable systems that transform web traffic and behavioral data into actionable insights that help customers improve conversion performance. Operating in a player-coach capacity, you will balance hands-on technical contributions with strategic leadership, team development, and cross-functional collaboration. The position involves shaping the future of AI-native analytics and conversion products while ensuring strong engineering standards and execution excellence. You will work closely with product, design, and data teams to define roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, and deliver meaningful customer value. The environment is highly collaborative, remote-first, and centered on ownership, speed, and high-quality engineering craft.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will lead engineering execution and technical direction for analytics and conversion-focused product initiatives, while actively contributing as a hands-on engineer.

  • Lead a full-stack engineering team focused on building and scaling analytics and conversion optimization products.
  • Define technical strategy, architecture decisions, and roadmap priorities in alignment with product and business goals.
  • Contribute directly to the codebase (20–30% hands-on) to unblock teams, improve quality, and set engineering standards.
  • Drive development of scalable systems for web analytics, conversion tracking, experimentation, and user behavior insights.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and data teams to shape product direction and execution.
  • Mentor and grow engineers, providing feedback, coaching, and career development support.
  • Foster a high-accountability culture focused on delivery, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with other engineering managers to enhance processes, operational efficiency, and team effectiveness.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in full-stack development with proven leadership experience in high-growth environments.

  • 5+ years of experience as a technical individual contributor, including senior or staff-level engineering experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing engineering teams in fast-paced or high-growth environments.
  • Strong experience with modern full-stack technologies such as TypeScript, React, Node.js, MongoDB, and AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with analytics systems, event pipelines, experimentation platforms, or conversion-focused products.
  • Strong understanding of conversion concepts such as funnels, attribution, segmentation, and A/B testing.
  • Experience building or shipping AI-powered product features, with a clear understanding of where AI adds value.
  • Proven ability to mentor and grow senior engineers across distributed teams.
  • Strong system design skills with experience in scalable, data-intensive architectures.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to give clear, respectful feedback.
  • Comfortable working in remote, globally distributed teams with strong ownership and accountability.
  • Business-level English proficiency (written and spoken).
  • Strong alignment with a player-coach mindset, balancing coding with leadership responsibilities.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary with eligibility for performance-based bonus programs.
  • Fully remote, flexible work environment with global collaboration.
  • Equity (RSUs) in a fast-growing, privately held company.
  • Comprehensive health coverage, including medical, dental, and vision plans.
  • Paid parental leave and family support benefits.
  • Flexible vacation policy and paid time off to support work-life balance.
  • Mental health and wellness resources, including therapy and coaching access.
  • Retirement savings support with employer contributions.
  • Monthly stipends for home office, wellness, and work-related expenses.
  • Annual performance bonus program tied to company success.
  • Inclusive and high-trust engineering culture focused on craft, speed, and impact.
