This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Associate Director - Sales, SMB in India.
This is a senior sales leadership role responsible for driving SMB growth across India and APAC, with potential expansion into additional global markets. You will own the segment strategy, build scalable sales motions, and lead high-performing teams focused on revenue expansion in a fast-growing SaaS environment. A key aspect of this role is a strong field-first approach, where in-person customer engagement plays a central role in pipeline creation and deal conversion. You will develop and execute full-funnel sales strategies while ensuring predictable, repeatable revenue outcomes. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, finance, and operations to drive business success. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in building teams, shaping go-to-market strategy, and directly influencing regional growth.
- Own and drive SMB segment strategy across India and APAC, defining long-term growth plans and key performance indicators.
- Lead and scale sales teams through Team Leads, ensuring strong execution of sales motions across outbound, inbound, and field channels.
- Build and institutionalize scalable sales playbooks, covering pipeline generation, deal execution, pricing discipline, and commercial best practices.
- Drive pipeline growth through active field engagement, including in-person customer interactions and relationship building with SMB decision-makers.
- Develop and mentor Team Leads into strong leaders capable of independently managing distributed and high-performing sales pods.
- Establish and manage commercial rigor across deals, including multi-year contracts, billing structures, and pricing consistency.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Finance, and Operations to align GTM strategy and execution across the business.
- Continuously monitor leading indicators and market trends to refine segment strategy and improve revenue predictability.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in B2B SaaS sales, including at least 4 years in a sales leadership role managing a region or segment.
- Proven track record of selling technical solutions such as compliance, security, infrastructure, or developer tools to senior technical buyers (CTO, CISO, or Head of Engineering).
- Strong experience in field sales with demonstrated ability to build pipeline through in-person customer relationships.
- Established network of SMB decision-makers in India, particularly within technical or engineering-led organizations.
- Experience building scalable sales motions from scratch across outbound, field, or partner-led channels.
- Proven ability to develop sales leaders and build high-performing distributed teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing complex deals and revenue strategies.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, distributed environment with significant regional travel requirements.
- Based in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, or Hyderabad with willingness to travel extensively across India and APAC.
