In this role, you will contribute to the development of high-scale payment systems that power critical money movement within a global two-sided marketplace. You will help build and enhance guest payment experiences, ensuring seamless, reliable, and secure transactions across multiple payment methods and regions. The work spans end-to-end feature development, from design and implementation to testing and production monitoring. You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, Data, and other Engineering teams to deliver impactful payment solutions. This environment is fast-paced and highly cross-functional, with strong emphasis on quality, scalability, and customer experience. Your contributions will directly influence conversion rates, payment success, and overall marketplace trust. • Contribute to the design, development, and optimization of large-scale payment systems supporting global transaction flows, with a focus on pay-in experiences and payment method integrations.
• Build and enhance customer-facing payment features, including pricing, checkout flows, and self-serve payment management tools.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, Data Science, and Legal to define requirements, evaluate feasibility, and deliver high-impact features.
• Support system reliability and quality initiatives by improving monitoring, reducing defects, and strengthening incident response and detection mechanisms.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to scalable, distributed system design decisions.
• Work on experimentation and A/B testing initiatives to improve payment conversion and overall user experience.
• Continuously improve engineering practices and collaborate with peers to elevate technical standards across the team.

• 3–5+ years of software engineering experience building production-grade systems.
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Java, Python, Scala, or Ruby.
• Experience working with distributed systems, high-scale web applications, or payment-related platforms is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of features from design through implementation and production deployment.
• Strong understanding of system design, data-driven decision-making, and performance trade-offs.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
