Position Summary
The HR Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Human Resources department, ensuring smooth and efficient operations across all aspects of the employee life cycle. This position serves as a point of contact for employees, managers, and external partners, assisting with a wide range of HR functions such as recruitment support, onboarding, personnel recordkeeping, compliance tracking, and employee relations. The HR Assistant will help maintain accurate data in HR systems, process personnel changes in a timely manner, and support special projects and initiatives aimed at improving the employee experience.
This role requires a detail-oriented and organized professional who can manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of confidentiality. The HR Assistant will also have the opportunity to learn and grow within a collaborative HR team, gaining hands-on experience in the full spectrum of HR activities.

Key ResponsibilitiesAssist administratively with the day-to-day operations of HR functions and dutiesAdminister employment life cycle processes utilizing HRIS, payroll, and Talent Management systems, including employee transfers, job classification changes, salary increases, and other employment mattersTrack and communicate employee birthdays and service anniversaries per established protocolPrepare and maintain personnel-related documentation and reports (staffing, uniforms, training, grievances, performance evaluations, etc.)Administer post-employment badging processes for government contract requirementsAssist with HR projects and initiatives as neededRespond to employee requests regarding HR issues, rules, and regulationsSupport the handling of complaints, grievance procedures, and disciplinary actionsAct as a back-up to Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Coordinator when necessarySkills, Experience, and Knowledge RequiredEducation
