About the role

We are seeking a Limited Medical Radiologic Technician, (LMRT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical office setting and possess strong organizational and communication skills. The expectation of the Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) is to treat the patients with exceptional and professional care. “The right way forward” is what makes us different from the many other orthopedic facilities in North Texas. What you'll do

  • Follow physicians’ orders regarding images needed.
  • Operate and adjust imaging equipment.
  • Accurately and compassionately explain procedures to the patients.
  • Position the patient and equipment in a way that protects patient safety through a proper distance, angle, and height from the patient.
  • Exhibit patience and empathy when patients are distressed, uncomfortable and hesitant in the procedure.
  • Follow procedures that prevent unnecessary exposure of radiation to themselves, as well as the patient such as patient-shielding.
  • Ability to position patients and use equipment skillfully to capture useful, high-quality diagnostic images.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate’s degree in radiologic technology from an accredited school
  • Valid state Radiologic Technologist License
  • Great, friendly, and compassionate people skills
  • Experience is preferred with radiology equipment

Physical Abilities

  • Capability of working 8 hours per day
  • Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, use hands and arms.
  • To explain instructions to the patient through the x-ray procedure
  • To lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds without assistance.
  • Visual abilities include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Able to articulate clear and precise instructions for the safety of the patient, tech, and company

The pay range for this role is:
22 - 27 USD per hour(Plano Orthopedic & Sports Medicine center)
