Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a AI Operations & Systems Engineer in Australia.
This role sits at the intersection of enterprise systems, AI enablement, and operational transformation within a fast-scaling, mission-driven organization. You will design and own the systems architecture that powers internal operations, ensuring tools, platforms, and workflows are optimized for productivity and scalability. Acting as a key architect of an AI-native operating model, you will build automations that reduce operational overhead and unlock efficiency across teams. The environment is highly collaborative, flat in structure, and deeply hands-on, with strong emphasis on ownership and execution. You will also manage SaaS and vendor strategy, shaping commercial decisions and system consolidation across a growing multi-entity organization. This position offers the opportunity to directly influence how modern AI-driven operations are built in a regulated, high-impact industry.
In this role, you will own the design and evolution of enterprise systems and AI-enabled operations, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and integration across a growing organization. You will work across architecture, automation, and vendor management to modernize internal workflows and reduce operational friction.
- Design and maintain an AI-forward enterprise systems architecture, defining integration patterns and governance principles.
- Build and deploy AI-driven automations that streamline IT and business operations across teams.
- Own the full SaaS and vendor portfolio, including selection, rationalization, renewals, and cost optimization.
- Manage IT systems budgeting and ensure commercial alignment of tools and platforms.
- Lead multi-entity system integration across subsidiaries and future acquisitions.
- Partner with security and compliance teams to ensure appropriate tooling and control implementation.
- Drive continuous improvement in internal operations through AI-native workflows and system optimization.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience across enterprise IT systems, SaaS ecosystems, and AI-driven automation, combined with a practical, hands-on engineering mindset. You are comfortable working in fast-moving environments and balancing architecture with execution.
- Proven experience in enterprise IT, systems engineering, or IT operations roles in growth-stage or multi-entity organizations.
- Strong background in SaaS management, vendor negotiations, and IT cost optimization.
- Hands-on experience with modern enterprise tooling (SSO, IAM, MDM, endpoint management, SaaS administration).
- Demonstrated ability to design systems using APIs, automation, and scalable configuration approaches.
- Experience building or deploying AI-enabled workflows or automation in operational environments.
- Exposure to regulated industries such as healthtech, including familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
- Strong commercial and analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate tools and drive efficiency.
- Scripting or programming knowledge (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
- High autonomy, strong communication skills, and comfort operating in a flat, execution-focused culture.
- Competitive compensation package with additional benefits and long-term incentives
- Fully remote and flexible working arrangements across Australia
- Strong learning and development support, including training budgets and career growth programs
- Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI systems with global real-world impact
- Inclusive family and wellbeing policies supporting different life stages
- Collaborative, high-autonomy culture with global cross-functional teams
- Exposure to modern AI-native operational transformation at scale
