This role focuses on ensuring the highest quality standards across software products, with an emphasis on both manual and automated testing. As a Test and Quality Analyst, you will:
- Plan, specify, execute, and monitor functional, regression, exploratory, and non-functional tests when applicable.
- Analyze requirements, business rules, and acceptance criteria to identify testing scenarios, especially related to payroll and HR systems.
- Support the definition of testing strategies for new features, bug fixes, and software releases.
- Create, maintain, and review test cases, evidence, and QA documentation.
- Work with automated testing, understanding its structure, coverage, execution, and maintenance.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot failures, providing actionable feedback to relevant teams.
- Generate reports on test execution, coverage, defects, risks, and quality indicators.
- Identify process bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities for improvement, collaborating closely with development, product, and support teams.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software testing and quality assurance:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing.
- Experience with payroll and HR management software.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing, including development, structuring, execution, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of Git and GitHub, databases (preferably PostgreSQL), and CI tools such as Jenkins.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills for investigating failures, identifying root causes, and reporting issues clearly.
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical information effectively.
- Ability to produce clear reports with metrics, evidence, risks, and recommendations.
- Organized, autonomous, collaborative, and results-oriented mindset.
Differential Skills:
- Knowledge of payroll, leave, termination, and related business rules.
- CTFL (Certified Tester Foundation Level – BSTQB) certification.
