This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director of Product Design - Channels in the United States.

This is a senior leadership role shaping the future of large-scale digital experiences across multiple customer-facing channels in a complex, regulated environment. You will be responsible for unifying fragmented journeys into a cohesive, platform-driven experience ecosystem that improves usability, consistency, and measurable business outcomes. The role blends strategic vision with hands-on design leadership, guiding how digital products evolve across web and mobile touchpoints. You will lead and grow a multidisciplinary design organization, partnering closely with research, content, product, engineering, and operations teams. This is a highly cross-functional position with executive visibility, where your work directly influences customer satisfaction and enterprise transformation. The environment is fast-moving, data-informed, and focused on delivering accessible, human-centered experiences at scale. It is well-suited for a design leader who can connect vision to execution while driving alignment across diverse stakeholders.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will define and lead the end-to-end product design strategy across multiple digital channels while building a strong, high-performing design organization.

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary product design team, fostering a culture of excellence, inclusion, and continuous learning
  • Define and drive a unified channel experience strategy across complex, multi-step digital journeys and transactional flows
  • Partner with research and content strategy teams to translate customer insights into scalable design direction and experience vision
  • Establish and evangelize design principles, experience roadmaps, journey maps, prototypes, and service blueprints to align stakeholders
  • Collaborate with executive stakeholders across product, engineering, marketing, operations, legal, and compliance to ensure cohesive delivery
  • Oversee design system governance, accessibility standards (WCAG/ADA), and consistency across all digital touchpoints
  • Leverage experimentation, analytics, and continuous discovery to inform design decisions and optimize user and business outcomes
  • Guide the evolution of interaction models, including AI-driven and personalized experiences
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced design leader with deep expertise in digital product design, system thinking, and large-scale experience transformation.

  • 12+ years of experience in UX, product design, or interaction design, with a strong portfolio of complex digital systems or ecommerce/transactional experiences
  • 5+ years of experience managing design teams, including leadership of other people managers
  • Proven success designing end-to-end user journeys in complex, regulated, or high-stakes environments
  • Strong experience applying design systems, conceptual modeling, interaction flows, and usability principles at scale
  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategy and translate it into measurable business and customer impact
  • Experience working in Agile environments with cross-functional product and engineering teams
  • Strong data-informed mindset, with experience using analytics and experimentation to guide design decisions
  • Ability to lead research collaboration and apply insights into product and experience strategy
  • Proficiency with modern design tools such as Figma and prototyping platforms
  • Excellent leadership, communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices is highly valued
  • Experience with healthcare, insurance, or regulated industries and AI-driven or conversational experiences is a plus
Benefits:
  • Competitive annual salary range: $138,900 – $191,000
  • Eligibility for performance-based bonus incentives
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer support
  • Paid time off, holidays, volunteer time, parental leave, and caregiver leave
  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage and life insurance
  • Fully remote work with potential occasional travel for meetings or training
  • Home office support and potential internet stipend depending on location
  • Inclusive, mission-driven environment focused on improving healthcare experiences
  • Strong emphasis on work-life balance and whole-person well-being.
