LUNCH/RECESS ATTENDANT at Nysmith School – Herndon, Virginia

This position is the "dream job" for an individual looking for flexible, part-time work.

We are seeking a friendly, energetic individual that is interested in working with children in grades Preschool through Eighth grade. Our desired candidate must have strong communication skills, willingness to be a collaborative team player and most important the desired candidate must have the ability to interact with students in a calm and positive fashion.

Compensation: $16.42 per hour between the hours of 10:30 am – 1:30 pm; Monday through Friday, school days only.

Qualifications: Candidate must have a high school diploma and pass background checks

General Responsibilities:

• Ability to supervise students and support them as needed during lunch and recess transitions
• Maintain order in the cafeteria and the playground
• Establish and maintain a safe environment inside and outside
• Supervise student in designated classrooms in the event of bad weather
• Report all incidents, accidents and injuries immediately to the supervisor
• Participate in regular safety training when scheduled
• Wash all tables after each class
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
