Manufacturing Machinery Maintenance Technician-3rd Shift

Pay: $27.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience

At JTM Foods, we're growing and looking for an experienced Manufacturing Machinery Maintenance Technician to join our Chicago team! We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, enjoys solving problems, and wants to be part of a team that keeps our manufacturing operation running.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial manufacturing and packaging equipment.
• Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues.
• Perform preventive, scheduled, and emergency maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot electrical controls, motors, sensors, conveyors, and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to keep production moving.
• Set up, adjust, repair, and maintain equipment for production runs.
• Install, modify, and improve machinery and production equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and work orders.
• Perform general facility maintenance, including basic plumbing and carpentry as needed.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to support equipment reliability, food safety, and continuous improvement.
• Follow all company safety procedures, including proper use of PPE, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems.
• Experience with motors, conveyors, automated equipment, and PLCs highly desirable.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and welding is a plus.
• Forklift operation experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Someone who takes pride in their work, demonstrates accountability, and wants to make a difference.
• Ability to work a consistent overnight schedule from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

Physical & Working Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, push, and pull throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working around industrial equipment, moving machinery, and manufacturing noise.
• Ability to follow all required safety and food manufacturing procedures.
