Join our team as a Chef de Cuisine!

KEY SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Menu Magic: Dream up delicious dishes for every meal, from breakfast to brunch, ensuring every plate sparkles with top-notch ingredients and flavor.
• Culinary Crew Captain: Lead, train, and inspire the kitchen team so everyones cooking, prepping, and serving with skill, safety, and a smile.
• Guest Connection Guru: Build real relationships with resort members and guests by knowing their names, preferences, and dietary quirks for a truly personal dining adventure.
• Kitchen Keeper Extraordinaire: Keep the kitchen sparkling, safe, and up to snuff with health inspections, fresh ingredients, and daily equipment checksnothing gets past you!
• Business Brainiac: Balance the books, manage inventory, and keep an eagle eye on costs and reports so your culinary operation stays profitable and on point.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma (or equivalent) and 3-5 years experience as a Sous Chef or 1-3 years as Chef de Cuisine in quality restaurants.
• Certified Food Manager certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days); strong verbal and written communication skills; fluent in the workplaces primary language(s).
• Skilled in kitchen operations, including safe use of equipment, food preparation, menu tastings, and the ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Proficient in critical thinking, decision-making, basic math, computer tasks, and effective collaboration across leadership levels.

Perched atop the cliffs of Dana Point overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Laguna Cliffs Resort & Spa features 2 year-round heated swimming pools that offer child-friendly zones. This resort features a restaurant and full-service spa, as well as an indoor/outdoor lounge. Beach and harbor access is just 1,500 feet away. Each contemporary guest room at Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort provides a flat-screen TV and a Bluetooh compatible Tivoli radio. Guest rooms include a coffee machine and plush robes. Ocean view rooms are available.
