About This Position
Position Description: Job Overview:
The MIT is responsible for learning all aspects of the Store Manager position, which includes planning, directing, and overseeing the operations and fiscal health of the store.
Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to: Recruiting, training, scheduling, supervising and appraising staff Reviewing and approving employee time cards and vacation requests Conducting performance reviews Ability to handle disciplinary issues and take appropriate action Managing the overall operational and financial responsibilities Handling customer queries and complaints Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds Ability to enter and work in a cooler at a temperature of 40 degrees for up to 30 minutes Ability to handle high levels of stress Regular and reliable attendance Ability to operate in a constant state of alertness
Qualifications/Experience/Education Ability to read, understand, and write the English language at the 12th Grade level High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle Travel to all stores within district required Ability to work 40+ hours a week, including occasional nights, weekends, and holidays Must be highly organized and have the ability to multi-task Must possess strong leadership, management, team-building, and communication skills Demonstrated knowledge of basic economic, budgeting, employment laws and practices, and accounting principles
