We continue to invest heavily to be the supplier of choice to the top producers worldwide of flooring, doors, hardwood plywood, furniture, cabinets, and other industries. We employ approximately 200 people. POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking a Bilingual HR Generalist to serve as a vital communication link and administrative resource for our workforce of approximately 200 people. This role bridges the language gap for Spanish-speaking employees, ensuring they are fully integrated into our safety culture, HR processes, and production goals. Supporting HR, the EHS Manager, and the Maintenance Manager, this position is essential for maintaining a safe, compliant, and inclusive work environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Administrative HR Support: Assist with daily HR administrative tasks, including new employee on-boarding, document filing, payroll support, and assisting Spanish-only employees with benefits or payroll inquiriesEmployee Advocacy: Act as liaison between management and workforce to ensure that employee concerns are heard and addressed properlyRecruitment Support: Manage recruitment full-cycle recruitment for production and maintenance roles from posting job ads to conducting interviewsSafety & EHS Support: Assist the EHS Manager in delivering safety training programs (e.g., Lockout/Tag-out, Fall Protection, Forklift Operation) to Spanish-speaking employees to ensure full comprehension of hazards and protocolsSafety Data Tracking: Document, maintain and update safety performance logs to track progress and identify areas for improvementInterpretation & Communication: Provide real-time Spanish/English interpretation for safety meetings, incident investigations, and maintenance work order instructions to prevent miscommunication on the shop floor. Will also translate employee communication documents as neededMaintenance and Production Data Tracking: Occasionally assist maintenance and production teams in tracking and documenting key KPIs and equipment repair listsFacility Audits: Support the EHS Manager during regular inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure employees are utilizing adequate Personal Protective Equipment Documentation: Help manage and translate regulatory reporting and safety documentation, such as training logs and incident reportsCulture Building: Work collaboratively with various managers and departments to help drive a proactive safety and company culture through clear communication and by acting as a trusted point of contact for all employees in order to make The Freeman Corporation an excellent place to work REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bilingual Proficiency: Fluent in both English and Spanish (written and verbal)Administrative Experience: Proven experience in an office or industrial administrative role, particularly in Human Resources and/or SafetyCommunication Skills: Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical safety information clearlyComputer Skills: Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in grading information, filing, and reporting PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Industrial Background: Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environmentSafety Knowledge: Familiarity with basic OSHA regulations or workplace safety standards.Problem Solving: A self-starter who can make good judgment calls when balancing tasks from multiple departments COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Competitive hourly rate commensurate with skills and experienceComprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and referral program
