About This Position
CSS is seeking an experienced General Maintenance Technician to support daily maintenance and repair operations at an industrial manufacturing facility in Grandview, MO. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working both independently and with a team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general facility maintenance and repairs, including carpentry, plumbing, drywall, painting, flooring, and overhead doors
- Inspect buildings, equipment, and grounds and recommend repairs or improvements
- Complete preventive maintenance and respond to emergency repair requests
- Safely operate hand and power tools
- Document work, time, and materials using a CMMS system
- Maintain organized inventory of parts, tools, and supplies
- Follow all safety procedures, SOPs, and OSHA standards
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in industrial or commercial maintenance experience
- Experience in carpentry, plumbing, painting, and masonry
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Familiarity with MS Office and electronic work order systems
- Valid driver's license; ability to operate forklifts, man lifts, and boom lifts
- Willingness to be on-call and work evenings or weekends as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
- Frequent bending, climbing, and working at heights up to 35 feet
- Comfortable working in an industrial environment
