Clarification:

Please be aware that this application is intended specifically for Student Teacher/Counselor/Social Worker or Administrative Intern placement.For these purposes, "Student-teacher" means any student who is enrolled in an institution of higher learning approved by the State Board of Education for training and who is jointly assigned by the institution of higher learning and a board of education of a school district to perform practice teaching under the direction of a regularly employed and certified teacher. A student teacher, while serving an internship under the supervision of a certified teacher, shall be accorded the same protection of the laws as that accorded the certified teacher.

Please note: Requests for fulfillment of any other Experiential Education requirements, (including but not limited to: Externships, Observations, or Practicums through Athletics, Health and Wellness, Language and Cultural Services, etc.) are not processed through this application.

What to Expect:

All Tulsa Public Schools studentteachers will be considered for placementvia thisapplication. When completing your application, you will be asked to share your placement preferences with us. While we will make every attempt to match you with a placement that meets your needs, Tulsa Public Schools cannot guarantee accommodation of specific placement requests or preferences.
