Job Description:
Super Steel is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team in a dynamic steel fabrication environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance, with experience in forklift repairs, machine maintenance, and plumbing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on forklifts and other industrial equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
- Conduct inspections of machinery and equipment to identify defects and implement necessary repairs.
- Assist in the setup and installation of new machines as needed.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records of repairs performed.
- Collaborate with the Facilities Manager to ensure all maintenance activities are completed efficiently and safely.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
- Participate in regular safety training sessions and meetings.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training or certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting; plumbing experience preferred.
- Experience with forklift repair and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed.
