About This Position
Job Summary:
The Bankruptcy Paralegal will communicate with clients, attorneys, and the Court and gather and provide necessary documents and updates.
Essential Functions – Bankruptcy Paralegal

• Analyzing incoming legal documents
• Analyze incoming Client documents.
• Document management through CLIO
• E-Filing through Pacer and state E-Filing portals.
• Review and draft legal documents.
• Review and draft Bankruptcy Petition.
• Assist in case management.
• Facilitate meeting attorney's deadlines by keeping organized schedules.
and providing timely reminders.
• Monitor and obtain hearing calendar daily for attorneys.
• Conduct public records searches.
• Coordinating calendars.
• Interface with clients, judges, opposing counsel, and Trustees.
• Answer incoming calls.
• Prepare attorneys and conference rooms for meetings, mediations, etc.
• Provide updates to clients throughout case progression.
• Manage all legal office administrative responsibilities, including sending emails, making copies, processing client payments, and organizing file systems.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• 3 yr minimum Bankruptcy Experience.
• CLIO preferred, but not required.
• Following up with Clients, Opposing Council, and Trustees.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Extensive knowledge of office administration, clerical procedures, and recordkeeping systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software with the ability to learn new or updated software.
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma required.
• At least three year of related bankruptcy or a paralegal degree or certificate is required.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise paralegals and legal assistants within the Bankruptcy Department.
Work Environment
You will work in a well-lit office
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
The days of week required for this role is Monday-Friday; hours will be either 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
