Job Overview
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Assistant Director of Patient Care for the ICU at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus.
Monmouth Medical Center is a fully accredited acute care hospital dedicated to providing the finest medical and health care services to the residents of Ocean and Monmouth counties. An affiliate of the RWJBarnabas Health system, Monmouth South is a sister hospital to Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch.
Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus is the only hospital in the region to provide private rooms on all of its inpatient units, providing an environment more conducive to healing. Several other enhancements have been made to provide superior service to Lakewood and surrounding region as well including the Better Health Senior Membership Program, state-of-the-art Geriatrics Institute, and an expansion of cancer services.
Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus is conveniently located on Route 9 in Lakewood and is committed to helping patients live their best lives by getting them back to the activities that are most important to them, sooner.
Qualifications:
Required
- BSN
- At least 2 3 years leadership/charge/preceptor experience as a Registered Nurse
- Strong communication organizational skills and presentation skills
Preferred
- MSN highly preferred
- Previous experience as a nursing director is preferred
- National Board Certification
- Management experience preferred
Certifications and Licenses Required
- BLS ACLS and PALS certification
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
Scheduling Requirements
- Day shift 24 hours per week
- Full Time On Call Leadership Coverage
Essential Functions
- Provides leadership and direction in order to fulfill the goals and objectives of the unit organization,
- Effectively communicates information to staff utilizes resources and manages staff and services,
- Assists the Director with the daily operations of the unit and delegated responsibilities,
- Will be assigned up to 50 percent of patient care responsibilities,
- Collaboratively prepares and maintains staff schedule and payroll,
- Effectively collaborates with inter-disciplinary teams and drives Through put and staff accountability
