About This Position
Infrastructure Precast is an equal opportunity at-will employer seeking a motivated and experienced Logistics Manager to join our team. This is a full-time exempt, on-site position reporting to the Plant General Manager at our Beaver Dam, KY location.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Plan, schedule, and oversee the transportation of precast products to job sites.
• Coordinate and schedule dispatch teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Verify delivery routes, permits, and escort requirements for oversized loads.
• Optimize loading sequences to minimize handling and maximize transportation efficiency.
• Manage and coordinate scheduling third party deliveries.
• Implement best practices for lean logistics operations.
• Improve and prioritize workflows related to loading, storage, and transportation.
• Use data to reduce transportation cost, improve on time delivery, and minimize product damage.
• Align logistics planning with daily and weekly production schedules.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, OSHA standards, and overweight/oversize hauling laws.
• Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Experience in supply chain, construction management, or planning logistics for customer deliveries preferred.
• Positive attitude and ability to lead by example in a team environment
• Proficiency in project management tools and logistics software program(s).
• Experience working with precast materials helpful.
• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA/NPCA regulations helpful.
Working conditions / Physical Requirements:
• Industrial plant setting with exposure to concrete, dust, and machinery.
• Candidates should be able to work in various environments.
• Standing for long periods of time with frequent movement through the plant.
• Exposure to noise, chemicals, or machinery, as applicable for the work being performed.
• Use of PPE (i.e. gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, and/or ear protection).
• Ability to lift heavy objects on a regular basis, if required.
• Ability to complete repetitive tasks, as appropriate.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Ability to work various work shifts and overtime, as required to meet project deadlines.
