About This Position
Strategic Analysis, Inc. (SA) is currently accepting applications for the position of Briefing Coordinator assigned to Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). DARPA BTO identifies and pursues high-risk, high-payoff research initiatives across a broad spectrum of science and engineering disciplines and transforms them into important, new game-changing technologies for U.S. national security. BTO is helping the Department of Defense expand technology-driven capabilities to detect novel threats and protect U.S. force readiness, deploy physiological interventions to maintain operational advantage, support warfighter readiness, and focus on operational biotechnology for mission success. BTO relies on the greater scientific research community to help identify and explore ideas that could potentially revolutionize the state-of-the-art.

As a Briefing Coordinator, you will:
Lead the development of presentations for unclassified and classified engagements to support the mission of the BTO Office. Briefing and engagements will include those within the Agency, with other government agencies, and with the broader public. The candidate should be able to tailor and connect the visual and verbal content with the objective of the engagement and adapt materials for the target audience. The individual should be able to quickly understand technical concepts and assist with preparing presentation material that accurately and clearly conveys these concepts.
Examples of the type of support include:
• Developing briefings to senior Department of Defense (DoD) personnel about DARPA’s technology efforts and how they support overall DoW mission objectives
• Creating and/or updating graphs, charts, and other data visualizations, slides, spreadsheets or other documents with accurate information to support meetings, reviews and taskers
• Coordinating with BTO leadership, program managers, security and other technical offices as needed. To include drafting timelines, scheduling dry-runs and time to review briefings with BTO leadership to meet deadlines.
• Developing the annual office strategy and preparation of the strategy briefing, to include
o Identification of national security challenges
o Technical opportunities in the office’s core competency areas
o and drafting and updating an overarching strategic plan for the office
• Developing technical program concepts presentations, including visual aids that help explain complicated technical approaches to non- experts
Required Skills:
• Have three-five years’ recent and relevant experience required.
• Must have proven experience working in a briefing/writing position.
• Be able to manage multiple disparate moving parts and respond quickly to often changing priorities in a high-pressure environment and be skilled at prioritization and time management.
• Have excellent writing skills and be able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences.
• Must be able to multi-task, pick up new concepts quickly and readily handle tasks ranging from briefing support to general administration.
• Have excellent organization, communication, and coordination abilities.
• Have discretion, strong spelling and grammar skills, attention to detail, and ability to organize last minute and often high-profile taskers is a must.
• Must be proficient in MS Office, specifically PowerPoint and M365.
Education
Bachelor's degree required.
