Summary.

The Special Education Teacher provides individualized, school-based special education services to students in grades K–8 in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) regulations, and Arizona state standards. The teacher delivers direct instruction, develops and implements Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), monitors student progress, and collaborates with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure students receive a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE).

This position serves as a key member of the school’s special education team, responsible for instructional planning, compliance documentation, and case management services to support students with disabilities in achieving academic, behavioral, and developmental goals.
