Job Description
The Craft Laborer performs skilled and semi‑skilled manual work supporting AdvanceTEC’s production, fabrication, maintenance, and installation activities. This position requires hands‑on experience using tools, equipment, and materials to support manufacturing or field operations while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform skilled craft and labor tasks related to fabrication, assembly, installation, repair, or maintenance of equipment, materials, or facilities
- Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and specifications
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and shop or field equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with equipment setup, material handling, and jobsite preparation
- Inspect finished work to ensure quality standards and specifications are met
- Follow all AdvanceTEC safety policies, OSHA requirements, and operational procedures
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, technicians, and other craft laborers
- Provide support and assistance to senior craft workers or journeymen as required
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of experience in a craft, skilled labor, manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment
- Working knowledge of basic hand and power tools
- Ability to read basic drawings or instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies
- Trade‑specific training, certification, or apprenticeship experience
- Experience in fabrication, mechanical assembly, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or industrial maintenance
- Forklift or equipment operation certification
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in an industrial or field environment, including exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
- Manual dexterity and vision sufficient to safely operate tools and equipment
- Manufacturing, shop, or field‑based work environment
- May include indoor and outdoor job sites
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required
