Warehouse Shipping Associate - FT Morning Shift at L&R Distributors – Spanish Springs, Nevada

Job Summary
The Shipping Associate is responsible for consolidating customer orders and preparing them for shipping by specific carrier.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
• Filling customer orders according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Stacking boxes on pallets to be loaded onto truck making sure pallets are stretch wrapped correctly
• Using computer hardware and software to generate labels for boxes to be shipped
• Maintaining and organizing adequate shipping supplies
• Ensuring shipping area is organized and clean at all times, and meets all compliance factors
• Learning and applying appropriate labeling to certain shipments of federally regulated products

Compensation:

• $20.00 per hour

• Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm with possible Overtime.

Supervision:
This position is frequently supervised by the Shipping / Inbound Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Skills Required:

• Safety
• Time management
• Willingness to learn computerized scanning device

Physical Demands
This position requires standing 80% of the day, light lifting (up to 50 lbs.) for 20% of the day, heavy lifting (frequent lifting of 50 lbs. or more) 20% of the day, and stooping for 10% of the day.
