Assistant Project Manager at WKS Restaurant Group – Cypress, California

Position Summary:

• Support the day-to-day operations of the Construction Management team.
• Manage RFPs (requests for proposals) and the bidding process, outgoing/incoming documents, change orders, schedules, RFIs (request for information),etc.
• Working with Operations and Project Management, develop scopes of work for projects
• Preparation of proposals and contracts
• Submit plans, apply for and pull permits
• Ensure all project documents are documented and filed on a timely basis
• Track and report project schedules providing updates to management team
• Secure quotes and place orders for owner-furnished items
• Some hands-on work may be required.
• Coordination and supervision of owner-installed items
• Perform periodic on-site reviews of projects, punch list walks, etc.

Qualifications

• Able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Field experience working in construction industry required
• Knowledge of basic construction practices and procedures
• Possess excellent communication skills, both orally and written
• Fluent in English is required
• Strong attention to detail with excellent time management and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Project, Excel
• AutoCAD experience preferred
• May require evening and weekends as necessary
• Reliable means of transportation necessary
