Fire Alarm Technician - Nashville
Job Description:
- Read prints, Install, program, and test fire alarm systems and devices in compliance with NFPA72 requirements.
- Possess functional understanding of how fire alarm systems work to include basic and ancillary functions for the purpose of troubleshooting and testing.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair alarm, trouble, and supervisory fire alarm issues on service calls using personal knowledge and technical support resources.
- Conduct Fire Alarm Inspections and document inspections in compliance with NFPA72 requirements in an electronic database format.
- Personally interact with service and inspection customers in a courteous, professional and confident manner.
- Communicate with management and peers effectively.
- Available for after-hours emergency service calls with compensation.
- Versatility: Knowledge and experience with other low voltage systems such as Data, access, and video is Highly desirable.
Job requirements
- Possess a current TN Fire Alarm Technician License or the ability to obtain one.
- 12 consecutive months of Installation, Service, and Inspection of Fire Alarm, Security, and Monitoring Systems.
- Must possess or willing and able to obtain the basic tools required to perform effectively as a Service / Installation Technician.
- Professional appearance.
- Ability to work efficiently under timelines.
- Comfortable working in sensitive environments such as Banks, office buildings, K12 and higher education, Hospitals, Medical Clinics, and Long-Term Care Facilities, and Industrial Facilities.
- Versatility: Knowledge and experience with other low voltage systems such as Data, access, and video is Highly desirable.
