Job Summary:
The seasonal Guest Relations’ role is responsible for various customer service and administrative tasks. This individual should be able to assist management and visitors to the company by handling office tasks, providing polite and professional assistance via phone, mail, email, and in-person, providing backup housekeeping assistance, and generally being a helpful and positive presence in the workplace. This person serves as the primary liaison between Lyman-Morse and guests of The Quarters at Lyman-Morse. This hospitality-heavy role requires providing elevated guest experience and coordination with staff. This individual must have a “can do” attitude to go above and beyond to ensure that the company offers superior service to the company’s customers.
This seasonal position is based in Camden. At the conclusion of the season, there may be an opportunity for shifting into a year-round position at Lyman-Morse, either in Camden or Thomaston.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures that high-quality services are provided to customers on a consistent basis.
- Participates with division and department heads, service managers, and other team members in a constructive manner. Remains flexible and adaptable to accommodate the different types of work and timelines presented on the job.
- Daily, self-directed management of incoming inquiries either over the phone or walk-in customers for marina service, The Quarters at Lyman-Morse, and all aspects of hospitality.
- Provides back-up housekeeping assistance in The Quarters at Lyman-Morse.
- Other duties assigned by Senior Management, Financial Administrator, and Camden Commercial Division Manager.
General
- Support Senior Management, Financial Administrator, and Camden Commercial Division Manager
- Serve as backup housekeeper for The Quarters at Lyman-Morse
Administrative
- Assist with collecting transient customer information.
- Create new customers and work orders and update work orders as needed.
- Assist customers with questions, taking payments, and any other needs they may have.
- Liaison between the reservationist and potential guests of The Quarters Lyman-Morse regarding reservations/questions.
- Be knowledgeable about the billing procedures and assist with billing.
- Assist with Camden Classics Cup and additional company events as needed.
Required Skills
- Experience in a fast-paced work environment with multiple facets in a constantly changing environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Experience with PierVantage desirable
- Hospitality experience desirable
- Exceptional communication skills
- Superior organizational skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner
- College level classes and/or degree preferred, but not required
- Prior administrative experience
- Attention to detail
- Desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others
