About This Position
About the Role:
Must be bilingual in English and Chinese. The EHS Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring that our organization adheres to environmental, health, and safety regulations while promoting a culture of safety and sustainability. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring EHS programs that minimize risks and enhance compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The EHS Specialist will conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks. Additionally, this role involves training employees on EHS policies and procedures to foster a safe working environment. Ultimately, the EHS Specialist contributes to the overall well-being of employees and the community while supporting the organization's commitment to environmental stewardship.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in an EHS role within a corporate or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal EHS regulations and standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in EHS management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
- Experience with environmental impact assessments and sustainability initiatives.
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with EHS regulations.
- Develop and implement EHS training programs for employees at all levels.
- Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate records of EHS activities, including training, inspections, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
