  • Gather, organize, and document relevant evidence in a manner that is accurate, defensible, and ready for reporting or downstream use.
  • Analyze information from multiple sources, assess credibility, and translate raw data into concise findings and recommendations.
  • Produce clear written work product (updates, summaries, and final reporting) that explains what was found, how it was found, and why it matters.
  • Coordinate with investigative and case teams to align research efforts with case objectives, shifting priorities as new information emerges.
  • Operate effectively in a remote environment, maintaining responsiveness and case momentum across non-traditional hours when required by investigative needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related discipline (e.g., Sociology, Criminology, Legal Studies, Journalism, Public Health/Medical field) or an equivalent combination of education and relevant investigative experience.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting investigative research and case-support work (e.g., investigations, claims support, risk management, compliance, or related fields).
  • Working knowledge of OSINT (Open Source Intelligence), including public-records research, identity and relationship verification, and source validation.
  • Strong analytical capability to evaluate complex information, follow appropriate leads, identify inconsistencies, and draw defensible conclusions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present investigative findings clearly, concisely, and confidentially.
  • High attention to detail to develop leads, ensure accuracy, and maintain clean documentation and reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple investigations simultaneously, prioritize based on investigative value and deadlines, and deliver timely work product.
  • High discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive or confidential information; demonstrated commitment to integrity and ethical investigative standards.

Preferred Certifications / Training

  • Employer-paid life insurance; dental and vision coverage
  • Opportunities for professional development and training
  • Paid time off (PTO)
