About This Position
Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment, facility systems, and supporting infrastructure. This role ensures safe, efficient, and reliable operation of machinery to minimize downtime and support continuous production.

Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production machinery, tools, and facility systems.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on motors, conveyors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and electrical components.
- Install, adjust, and align mechanical parts, belts, bearings, gears, and drive systems.
- Inspect and repair electrical wiring, control panels, sensors, switches, and motors.
- Maintain and repair HVAC, lighting, and general building systems as needed.
Technical & Safety Compliance
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and company maintenance standards.
- Document all maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment status in maintenance logs or CMMS.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend long term solutions to improve equipment reliability.
Operational Support
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning.
- Support production teams by responding quickly to equipment breakdowns.
- Collaborate with supervisors and operators to ensure machinery is operating safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications
Required
- 3 years mechanical and electrical maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of motors, drives, sensors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical assemblies.
- Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and automated equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480V.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred
- Experience with MiTek software and machinery.
- Welding, fabrication, or machining skills.
- HVAC or refrigeration experience.
- Previous work in a high volume manufacturing facility.

Work Environment
- Industrial production facility with exposure to noise, dust, machinery, and varying temperatures.
- Requires standing, bending, climbing, and working at heights or in tight spaces.
- Use of PPE required (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, etc.).

Schedule & Compensation
- Full time position; overtime or on call rotation may be required based on production needs.
- Pay based on experience, skill level, and certifications.
