Talent Acquisition Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for administering the full cycle of the recruitment process across various areas of the hospital. This position will be responsible for ensuring that open positions are filled with qualified candidates in an efficient and timely manner. Recruiting efforts include candidate sourcing, screening, applicant tracking, checking references and other related recruiting activities. This position is also responsible for employee onboarding and assistance with staff retention interviews.

Rate of pay: $28.93 - $41.67 per hour based on experience

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Licensure/Certification/Registrations: PHR preferred
  • Education: Associate’s Degree/Two years of College with related work experience ­or Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in recruiting required; Healthcare Recruiting experience strongly preferred.
  • Skills & Abilities: Excellent organization and customer service skills. Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities and prioritize and schedule accordingly. Must be able to successfully and effectively communicate with a variety of personnel. Work collaboratively with other departments and physicians. Ability to use professional judgment to identify areas for improvement and participate in development of quality initiatives. Ability to recruit candidates through various sources including the internet, referrals, nursing and therapy schools; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Highly motivated with a positive attitude. Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the position. Proven analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Creative and able to be an "out of the box" thinker. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Utilize Applicant Tracking Software (ATS) to maintain and track applicants and maintain the Craig Hospital recruitment website. Enter data and maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the ATS. Run applicable reports as requested.
  • Work directly with hiring managers to develop and execute strategic recruiting plans. Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position.
  • Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements. Conduct behavioral-based prescreening interviews. Assist in interviewing and selecting employees' onsite as needed or requested by the hiring manager.
  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need. Build networks to find qualified passive candidates. Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting. Maintain contact with possible future candidates.
  • Assist with job fairs, conferences and career days when appropriate, establishing appropriate equipment for the events and the target audiences.
  • Conduct timely candidate correspondence including interview schedule, candidate references, new hire paperwork, reference checks, offer letters, and orientation confirmation.
  • Conduct Stay Interviews with new hires based on an established timeline. Assist with the aggregation of stay interview data and report to Department Directors on a timely basis.
  • Provide HR Generalist support in functional areas of the HR Department.
